All About Pet and Domestic Animals
A pet is a household animal cared for either companionship or pleasure. It includes dogs, cats, and birds. While domestic animals include companion, livestock and working animals. To make the tiny tots of the Prep Class get acquainted with the domestic and pet animals an activity was organised on 2nd November, 2018. The little ones took active part along with the teachers. The concept was explained through charts. Their curiosity to know more about domestic and pet animals was on a height. The kids enjoyed the educational activity.
 


 
 

Making a Paper Diya (Traditional Lamp)
With the excitement of the festive season in the air, all the students participated enthusiastically in the Diya Making activity on 2nd November, 2018. The children really showed their creative skills to make their Paper Diya look special, colourful and attractive. Various materials were used to decorate the Diya’s like – beads, glitters, mirrors etc. It was a fun filled and an engrossing activity. The children happily showcased their master pieces which left everyone spell bound.
 


 

Celebrating Diwali
Diwali the festival of celebration of lights and hope, and marks the victory of good over evil and the happy return of Lord Rama to Ayodhya after 14 years of exile. The toddlers on 5th November, 2018 celebrated Diwali with devotion, enthusiasm and excitement. A special assembly commenced with puja, offerings flowers to the idols of Lord Ganesha and Goddess Laxmi accompanied with the singing of devotional prayers. The decorated campus added charm and religious fervour to the atmosphere. The little ones dressed up as Lord Rama, Goddess Sita, Hanuman were looking fascinating. The little ones enjoyed their Diwali party and exchanged gifts and cards.
 


 

All About Seasons
The tiny tots of the Nursery class got a first hand experience on Different seasons in an activity on 12th November, 2018. The interesting activity was conducted using various teaching tools such as colourful charts, posters etc. With the Winter season approaching, the children were introduced to various things that we use in the Winter season like warm clothes, Mufflers, Jackets, Coats etc. The children were very attentive and enjoyed the entire activity.
 


 

I Love Chacha Nehru
On the occasion of Children's Day, the tiny tots participated in an oratory activity in which they spoke about Chacha Nehru. It was a day to search for budding orators. The kids spoke with confidence, and their clarity, pronunciation and views were appreciated by all. To add to their performance the kids came dressed in traditional attire and the Nehru jacket. The children were also informed by the Teachers that Chacha Nehru was our Nation's first Prime Minister and a freedom fighter. The activity concluded with all the children screaming "I love Chacha Nehru".
 


  

Domestic Articles
An activity on Domestic articles was conducted on 15th November 2018, to make the kids aware about various articles used in our daily lives. The teachers introduced various articles like torch, hair dryer, camera etc. The children were encouraged to identify and recognise the different articles. The little angels were very interactive and they enjoyed the entire activity.
 


 

Celebrating Eid-E-Milad
Eid-e-Milad is the day that marks the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad - the founder of Islam. The toddlers on 20th November 2018 celebrated Eid-e-Milad with devotion, enthusiasm and excitement. A special assembly commenced with a morning prayer followed by a wonderful thought. The audience was made aware about various teachings of Prophet Muhammad. The entire school was decked up with colours of festivity and added religious fervor to the atmosphere. The little ones dressed up in Muslim attire and looked very enthralling. It was a day to be remembered by all our little ones.
 


 

Celebrating Guru Nanak Jayanti
The auspicious festival of Guru Nanak Jayanti was celebrated on 22nd November, 2018. A special assembly was conducted to mark the occasion and bring home the relevance of the festival to our toddlers. Guru Nanak Jayanti which marks the birth anniversary of the first Sikh Guru Guru Nanak Dev Ji, was celebrated with flair and poise in the School premises. A few boys came dressed as the Panj Pyaaras and the girls wore traditional and colourful Punjabi attire. The celebrations brought awareness among the little hearts about sacred life lived by Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The tiny tots visited the neighborhood Gurudwara and paid reverence to the Almighty. Serenity and calmness floated in the air, the festival was celebrated by all with great pride, honour and respect.
 


 

Hot and Cold
The kids of the Pre-Nursery class were thrilled to learn about hot and cold things through an activity conducted on the 26th November 2018. This educational activity was done with the help of charts showing pictures of hot and cold items. The children enthusiastically pointed out hot and cold items. It was a fun filled learning experience for the kids.
 


 

Hindi Recitation
On 27th November 2018, a Hindi Recitation activity was organised for the students of the Nursery class. The kids participated with enthusiasm and zeal. They recited different rhymes with actions. These types of activities help the children to become a confident speaker on stage, which boosts their language skills and overcome stage fright. The young toddlers had a great day and were awarded with certificates for their efforts.
 


   

Balloon Race
The School organised a balloon race on 27th November 2018. The budding athletes participated very enthusiastically. The race comprised of 2-3-4 kids in each team holding the balloon back to back. Each child aimed at winning the race to add the glory of their best efforts to make this event a grand success. The little tots touched a chord in every heart with their enthralling performance. The winners were awarded with the certificates.
 


 

Musical Instruments
An activity on Musical Instruments was conducted on 28th November 2018, to make tiny tots aware about different musical instrument we use. The teachers introduced various musical instruments like Piano, Violin, Guitar etc through Charts and the kids were asked to identify them. The children were very interactive and they enjoyed the entire activity.
 


 

Black and White
The colours Black and White were introduced to the little angels of the Pre-Nursery class, by turning their day into black and white colour day on 29th November, 2018. The tiny tots came to School in shades of black and white. All black and white things were displayed to the little ones like toys, bottles and balls. The day ended with kids identifying the colours around the School. It was indeed a fruitful activity for our little ones.
 


 

Cleanliness - Oratory Activity
It was a fun filled learning experience for the little angels when they displayed their oratory skills in class activity on Speak 2 lines on Self Cleanliness. The children were eager to speak and they were also explained the importance of cleanliness. These activities help the children to be a Confident speaker on stage, which boosts their language skills and Confidence.
 


 

Learning about Electrical Appliances
An activity on Electrical Appliances was conducted on 29th November 2018. This educational activity was done with the help of charts which depicted pictures of Electrical Appliances like Iron, Washing Machine, Fan etc. The tiny tots were excited to know more about Electrical Appliances. It was a fun filled learning experience for the kids. They were also cautioned not to play with electrical appliances.
 


 

Poem Dramatization - Cobbler Cobbler
Dramatization helps the children in their mental development and great methodology for learning. An activity dramatizing the rhyme Cobbler, Cobbler was conducted for the little ones of the Pre-Nursery class on 30th Nov’18. The activity began with great zeal and enthusiasm among the young toddlers. Different props were used by the teachers to make dramatization session more exciting. The kids were interactive and they enjoyed the entire activity.
 


 

Our Neighbouring Countries
The tiny tots of the Nursery class participated in educational activity related to learning the names of our neighbouring countries on 30th Nov’18 with great interest. The flags of the neighbouring countries were shown to the little ones like Pakistan, China, Nepal, and Sri Lanka etc. for recognition and reference. They were curious to know more about neighbouring countries of India. This activity helped the tiny tots to a great extent and they enjoyed a lot.
 


 

Weaving a Story - The Hare and The Tortoise
Enacting stories has a positive influence on children. It helps in the cognitive development of a child. Story enactment transforms complex learning into a simpler form. The children of the Prep Class participated in an interesting session of story weaving which was held on 30th Nov’18. The story of the Hare and the Tortoise was enacted for our little ones. Teachers used different props for weaving the story. The little ones enjoyed a lot throughout the activity and were answering questions enthusiastically after the story was over. The moral of the story; Slow and Steady wins the race, was also explained to them.
