Celebrating Ram Navmi
The students of SKZ celebrated the birth of Shri Rama by singing melodious Ram Bhajans with religious fervour. The students were explained the reasons behind celebrating the festival. Some students came dressed as characters from the Ramayan. In craft activity the children made Swastikas and Shri Ram flags. The atmosphere was filled with the spirit of devotion and love for Shri Rama.
Baisakhi Celebrations
At Sheila’s Kids Zone, we believe that learning is not restricted to books and instructions. We aim to imbibe in our children the values and ethos of every culture and community. To make our children aware of the spring harvest festival in all its essence, the children of SKZ celebrated Baishakhi on Friday, April 12, 2024. A special musical assembly was arranged for the children and the facilitators presented a role play. Our little toddlers participated in a corn making activity using paper and bubble wrap. Later on in the day the little wonders came alive mesmerized to dhol beats. Dancing on the foot tapping music they looked beautiful in their vibrant Punjabi attire.
Eid-Ul-Fitr Celebrations
The students of SKZ celebrated the festival of Eid with great enthusiasm. To mark the occasion, an assembly was organised on 9-4-2024 , for the students, in their respective classes. It started with a solemn prayer to the Almighty and an effort to work for a safe and better world and to live in harmony. The celebration concluded by apprising the young ones about the significance of this holy festival through a poem. The spirit of Eid was well imbibed by the students and also helped them to instill the universal values of brotherhood and compassion. It was a delight to see the little ones hugging each other and wishing Eid Mubarak happily.
Welcome To SKZ
As a new day dawned the doors of SKZ opened on April 3rd, for the tiny tots. Kindergarten is a stepping stone to the learner’s foundation, and our toddlers entered the corridors of school life directly from their homes, for the first time! The bundles of nervousness and excitement looked whimsical, as they appeared freshly bloomed from a nascent bud, waiting to spread its colourful petals out. A host of activities was conducted by the energetic facilitators, involving games, poems.
The activities commenced, embedded with a positive note. Each little angel was welcomed with open arms and endearing smiles, teachers welcomed them with a Crafty Candy craft to make them feel comfortable and happy and presented them with Crowns inscribed with the words Superstar of SKZ. It was a rocking start for the first time scholars, with their cheerful laughter resounding in the classrooms as a symbolisation of vibrancy and jubilance. The entire team of SKZ wishes each of the learners a year filled with meaningful learning, positivity and abundant fun.
Orientation Session 2024 – 2025
The Orientation Programme for SKZ parents and students for the upcoming Session was organized on Saturday 23rd March 2024. The event was organized to apprise the parents of the fundamental policies and salient features of the New Education Policy 2020 and how SKZ implements them in best interest of the students.
A engrossing and interactive Parent Counselling session was conducted by Dr. Barkha Shourey, Occupational Therapist and Director, Rahat Occupational & Speech Therapy Centre. She informed the parents of what changes to expect as their children start going to School and also how to handle them. She laid stress on spending quality time with the kids and curtailing screen time. Individual queries of parents were also addressed by her. The Session was appreciated by all.
