Experimenting With Float And Sink
In a fun and interactive class activity, students explored the concept of float and sink through a hands-on experiment. The teacher filled a glass bowl with water and introduced various objects, including a small ball, leaf, paper boat, coin, key, and rock.
As each object was placed in the water, students observed and predicted the outcome. The results showed that the leaf and paper boat floated, while the coin, key, and rock sank. The small ball also floated due to its lightweight nature.
The teacher explained that objects heavier than water sink, while lighter objects float. This engaging experiment helped students understand the relationship between weight and buoyancy, developing their scientific knowledge and curiosity.

Celebrating Kargil Vijay Diwas
CWS commemorated Kargil Vijay Diwas with great enthusiasm and patriotism. Students showcased their spirit by dressing up as brave soldiers of the Indian Army, Air Force, and Navy. Some students, especially girls, proudly represented Bharat Mata, symbolising the Nation’s strength and unity.
In a special activity, Nursery students creatively expressed their love for peace by pasting wings on a white peace dove, spreading a message of harmony and tranquility, and the Prep class students demonstrated their artistic skills through a group activity, creating camouflage prints on a Tank model using cotton dabbing technique. This activity not only showcased their creativity but also highlighted the strategic brilliance of our armed forces.
The celebration honoured the sacrifices of our brave soldiers and instilled a sense of national pride and gratitude among the students. It was a memorable day, fostering patriotism and teamwork among our young learners.

Good Touch, Bad Touch
A workshop on “Good Touch and Bad Touch” was conducted for the students on 21st July. The purpose of this workshop was to educate our children about appropriate and inappropriate physical boundaries, and to empower them with the awareness, knowledge and confidence to protect themselves.
In today’s world, it’s essential for children to understand the difference between good and bad touch, and to know how to respond in situations that make them feel uncomfortable or unsafe. This workshop aimed to:
– Help children recognize and identify appropriate and inappropriate touch
– Teach them how to say “No” or “Stop” in uncomfortable situations
– Encourage them to trust their instincts and report any concerns to a trusted adult
– Foster a safe and supportive environment where children feel comfortable discussing their feelings and concerns.
We believe that this workshop is an important step in promoting the safety, well-being, and emotional intelligence of our students. We’re confident that this initiative will help our children develop healthy relationships and boundaries, and empower them to make informed decisions about their own bodies.

Golden Words
On 16th July, the children were taught the importance of using golden words like “Thank you”, “Sorry”, “Please”, and “Excuse me”. These words help build good manners and respectful communication from an early age. To make the lesson interesting and easy to understand, the teachers used a story-based approach. Through the story, children could see how using these words makes situations better and helps in making friends and solving problems. The kids enjoyed the story and were able to relate to it, which helped them understand when and how to use these magical words in their daily life. It was a fun and meaningful way to teach values that will stay with them forever.

Pool Party
CWS organized a splashing pool party for all the kids to beat the hot and humid weather. The children arrived in their school uniforms and brought their swimming costumes to change into. The kids were divided into groups to ensure everyone had a turn in the pool. The teachers had planned some exciting pool games, which the kids played with enthusiasm. They also danced to popular songs, adding to the fun. The event was a huge success, with the kids thoroughly enjoying themselves and each other’s company.

Celebrating Founders’ Day
On the momentous occasion of the 60th Founder’s Day, the school paid a heartfelt tribute to its visionary founders, Mrs. Sheila Verma and Shri Brem Dutt Verma, whose dedication and foresight laid the strong foundation of this esteemed institution.
To mark this special day, our youngest learners participated in meaningful and joyful activities. The Nursery and Pre-Nursery children contributed to a vibrant handprint activity on the school logo, symbolizing innocence, unity, and a promising future. Their tiny handprints added color and charm to the celebration, representing the nurturing spirit of our institution.
Meanwhile, the Prep students enthusiastically constructed a miniature model of the school building using colorful building blocks. This creative task not only reflected their growing understanding of structure and design but also their deep love and connection to their second home.
The event was a touching reminder of the journey that began six decades ago and continues to inspire generations. With gratitude to our founders and pride in our present, we look forward to many more years of excellence and growth.

Back To School
After the summer vacations, CWS opened its gates for the children who were very happy, but also a little sad because they were returning after such a long break. All the kids were given a very warm welcome. The Class Teachers gave each child different colorful gifts – popsicles, flowers, stars – to help them settle back into school happily. The entire school was decorated with balloons and cartoon characters. There was also a small session where teachers asked the children how they had spent their vacation. Some said they went to hill stations, while others visited their grandmother’s house. Overall, it was a joyful and heartwarming new beginning.
