Saplings were planted to reduce global warming. The teachers showed PowerPoint presentations to remind the students of their duties towards ‘Mother Nature’ and also how they can contribute to the Go Green initiative. They also participated in a craft activity in which they coloured an earth using thumb impressions, Sponge dabbing etc with blue and green colours symbolizing land and water. Baisakhi Celebrations

Wheat crop is ready for harvest. Time to rejoice and feel nice

Fruits to reap of blood and sweat, And get joyous and celebrate life.

With this spirit the students of CWS celebrated Baisakhi with gusto and religious fervour. Baisakhi is a vibrant and colorful festival that marks the beginning of the Sikh New Year and the harvest season. We celebrated this joyous occasion with our little ones in a fun and educational way. To start the day, our teachers explained the significance of Baisakhi and its importance in Sikh culture. We also talked about the harvest season and how farmers in Punjab and other parts of India celebrate this time of year. In a craft activity to celebrate the festival the children made their own paper Corn, turban etc. The festivities culminated with the kids dancing to popular Bhangra music. The children had a blast dancing and jumping around, and it was a great way to end the day.
