Celebrating International Tiger’s Day
International Tiger Day is observed every year on July 29th to promote conservation of the tiger’s natural habitat and raise awareness about tiger conservation. Keeping this in view , the students of Sheila’s Kids Zone came together to raise consciousness for this charismatic but critically endangered species as India is home to nearly 75% of the Tiger population. The little ones showcased their care, concern and the need to conserve tigers with their oratory skills. They also made hand puppets of Tiger, Head gear, Paintings and drawings which displayed a perfect blend of colors. The celebration turned out to be extremely fruitful as the students developed sensitivity towards nature and wildlife. They learnt that it’s imperative not just to protect the Tigers but also preserve their natural habitat where they can roam, roar and rule.
Kargil Vijay Diwas
Kargil Vijay Diwas is a reminder of the sacrifices made by our soldiers to safeguard our country. As we celebrate this day, we honour their bravery and commitment, and strive to uphold the values of courage and patriotism in our lives.
The students of Sheila’s Kids Zone celebrated ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas’ to remember India’s war victory and to pay tribute to Kargil martyrs. The children sang and danced on patriotic songs and filled the entire atmosphere with a patriotic fervour. The Class teachers explained the importance of Kargil Vijay Diwas to the students, using a PowerPoint presentation, making the process informative and enlightening. Some children came dressed as soldiers and they spoke a few lines thanking the soldiers of our Nation and some recited poems. In a craft activity they made soldiers using an ice cream stick and also coloured pictures of a soldier and a battle tank.
Celebrating Our 59th Founders’ Day
A school of the stature and reputation of Sheila’s Kids Zone, was not built in a day. It has taken all these years of dedication and single minded commitment by many, to create the distinctive aura and reputation that we all enjoy today and are so proud of.
Being an SKZian is special as this involves a special kind of responsibility. A responsibility to live up to the ideals and sacred values that form the foundation of this institution.
SKZ celebrated its 59th Founder’s Day to commemorate its legacy and success with enthusiasm and exuberance. There was a lot of excitement among the students who were a part of this extravagant event.
