Dussehra & Durga Ashtami Celebrations
The festival of Dussehra was celebrated by our Pre-primary students on 20th October 2023. The festival marks the end of Navratri and signifies the victory of Lord Rama over the demon King Ravana symbolizing the triumph of good over evil. The children came dressed in ethnic clothes and as various characters of the Ramayana. They enjoyed the special activities related to Dussehra organized for them such as; Mask making and Stick puppet making. They were also shown videos of the Ramayana and Dussehra. Information regarding the story of Lord Rama and the reason for celebrating the festival of Dussehra was also shared with the children. The little ones also had fun performing the Dandiya dance on the occasion of the ongoing Navratras.
Celebrating Gandhi Jayanti
Gandhi jayanti is observed to celebrate the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation, a social reformer and a freedom fighter, who worked tirelessly for the independence of our Nation from the British. The children celebrated the special day in their own unique manner. Some students came dressed up as Gandhi ji, Kasturba Gandhi and as other famous Freedom fighters.
Our little toddlers of pre nursery , nursery and our prep students made monkeys with ice cream sticks and art and craft material to highlight Gandhiji’s three monkeys. Celebrating his birthday lets us look back to the freedom struggle and value the freedom that we enjoy today.
