Celebrating Eid-Milad-Un-Nabi – Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday

On 27th September 2023 students came dressed in Muslim attire as SKZ celebrated Eid-Milad-un-Nabi to commemorate Prophet Muhammed’s birth anniversary. It is a time of joy, reflection, and gratitude for the blessings that Muhammad brought to humanity. Muslims believe that Muhammad was a mercy and a guide to all people, and his birth is seen as a significant event in history. The celebrations involved making a moon and star, headbands and engaging in acts of charity. It is a time to honour and remember the teachings and values of Muhammad, and to strive to emulate his example in our daily lives. At the end of the day, our little tiny thoughts went back home with boundless enthusiasm and awareness.

Soluble and Insoluble Substances

A thought-provoking and interesting activity on Soluble and Insoluble substances was conducted for the Prep class on September 22, 2023. The children were encouraged to learn the criteria that separate substances as soluble and insoluble. They were shown experiments with water, salt, sugar, and sand, using simple language, visuals, and hands-on experiments to help them understand the difference between soluble and insoluble substances. It was indeed a very educational session for the kids as they got to know why sugar and salt dissolve in water, but sand does not.

Janamashtami Celebrations

To seek the blessings of Lord Krishna, Janmashtami was celebrated at SKZ on 6th August, 2023 with mirth and joy. The fragrance of flowers, soothing aroma of camphor and the jingle of bells filled the air. While this religious importance is not lost, this day signifies a lot more to modern India, it signifies excitement, euphoria and a joyous spirit of enthrallment. To celebrate the extraordinary bond between children and the Almighty, SKZ took the opportunity to both jubilate and learn with the young minds. Some students came dressed as Lord Krishna and Radha, complete with flutes, peacock feathers and matkas. The students also participated in decorating a Matki and a flute displaying all their creativity.

Celebrating Teachers’ Day

Teachers’ day is an important day in the life of a teacher and students. Like every year, SKZ celebrated this day with happiness and joy with our students and teachers. The school was decorated with flowers and our little students came dressed as their favourite teacher and brought a special flower for their teachers. Our lovely Pre-Nursery toddlers made a special photo frame for their teacher whereas the Nursery tiny tots made a special appreciation flower using decorative material. The Prep class students made a special pen-holder for their teachers. A teacher is a friend, guide and plays a very important role in each one of our lives.
