Children’s Day Celebrations
Every year, India celebrates 14th November as Children’s Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of India’s first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Children’s Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm. The day focused on children and their enjoyment. The day was infused with immense joy , enthusiasm and magnificence. The tiny tots of Pre school and Pre primary class came dressed in bright casuals and some also as Chacha Nehru and as various National Leaders. The celebrations began by informing the students of the importance of the occasion. The teachers made them feel special by saying one positive thing about each child which brought a smile to their faces. A few activities and competitions were conducted by the teachers such as; fun filled games, and a drawing and colouring competition. It was a completely fun day for the children. Also, they ate their favourite snacks during their break time. The day ended with a dance session where the teachers and the students danced together on various peppy song. The students were happy and enjoyed the celebrations.
Celebrating Halloween
Halloween is a festival of fun for kids. The festival has its origin in European countries where the people began dressing up as ghosts believing it will rid them of evil spirits. eve of All Saint’s Day. This day marks the end of summer and the harvest and the beginning of the dark, cold winter. SKZians celebrated Halloween Day with great enthusiasm and zeal. There were very happy Superheroes, Fairies, Witches, Goblins and other interesting characters walking around. Excited faces were seen everywhere as children posed for photographs. This celebration was organised to help students pursue education in a fun-filled manner and encouraged them to appreciate difference in cultures and customs and also to make them aware of global festivals and values. The teachers briefed children about Halloween Day and its importance.
