Teachers’ Day Celebrations
Teacher’s Day is a day that is celebrated all over the country on the 5th of September to commemorate the birth anniversary of India’s former President, Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. It is celebrated to lay emphasis on the immense efforts put in by teachers and applaud them for being the guides and motivational spirits for children. SKZians celebrated Teacher’s Day with great enthusiasm. The teachers decorated the bulletin boards. The tiny tots celebrated the day by impersonating their teachers and spoke about them. They also took part in craft activity to make beautiful gifts for their teachers.
National Nutrition Week
National Nutrition Week was observed in the first week of September. It is celebrated to raise awareness regarding the importance of healthy food in our diet. On this day SKZ teachers showcased acting prowess in a story dramatisation. The teacher enacted and conveyed the message regarding relevance of healthy food. The story highlighted how junk food affects our health adversely. The students were very thrilled and watched the dramatization with full interest. An activity entitled Healthy Breakfast was also conducted in class, in which the students displayed their nutritious breakfast and also relished it with enthusiasm.
Celebrating International Literacy Day
The International Literacy Day (ILD) is celebrated every year on 8th September, by UNESCO, to remind the international community of the importance of literacy as a matter of dignity and human rights and to advance the literacy agenda towards a more literate and sustainable society. Today, in the 54th year of International Literacy Day, SKZ arranged a special assembly for all the kids where they all learnt about the important of education in their life. Teacher used attractively decorated boards to highlight the importance. It was indeed and interesting activity.
Celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi
Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated on the occasion of the birthday of Lord Ganesha, the son of Lord Shiva and Parvati. The festival is also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi or Ganeshotsav. Lord Ganesha or the elephant deity is considered the God of wisdom and new beginnings. Thus, people across the world worships him before initiating any work. It is believed that he removes obstacles and blesses the stark life. SKZians celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi on 10th September on the virtual platform. The teachers decorated their background and explained the importance of the festival. They chanted shlokas and prayed to Lord Ganesha for his blessings. The tiny tots presented a mesmerizing dance performance virtually. In a craft activity the children created beautiful cutouts of Ganesha. The environment was filled with sacred and pious vibrations.
हिंदी दिवस (14 सितम्बर)
हिंदी हमारे देश की मातृभाषा है और इसका सम्मान करने के लिए प्रतिवर्ष 14 सितम्बर को हिंदी दिवस मनाया जाता है। इसी दिन ही हिंदी को राजभाषा का दर्जा मिला था जिसके बाद से अब तक हर साल यह दिन ‘हिंदी दिवस’ के तौर पर मनाया जाता है. भाषा के उत्थान और भारत में राष्ट्रभाषा का सम्मान दिलाने के लिए ही हिन्दी दिवस मनाया जाता है। हमारे विद्यालय शीलास किड्स ज़ोन में 14 सितम्बर को अध्यापको द्वारा हिंदी दिवस का महत्व समझाया गया और बताया गया कि हमें अपनी मातृभाषा हिंदी को बढ़ावा देना चाहिए और इसे पूरे उत्साह और उमंग से मनाना चाहिए।
